“Connecting… for Marina, for Gaza, for Bushwick, and for me” is a loose and informal performance event that connects the dots between places, spaces, and people. Sigman bookends her performance in MoMA’s Marina Abramovic retrospective with a performance ritual obliquely related to one she performed at the start of the exhibition. She connects her own work to the artistic lineage of Abramovic whose work she has just performed at MoMA, and she connects the physical studio space to a world beyond the arts. Performance and visual design by Jill Sigman. Music by Kristin Norderval. Viewers may enter and exit during the performance, which lasts approximately one hour.
